President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Monday led the funeral procession of Major General Kamal Madbouli, father of Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, which took place at the Field Marshal Tantawi Mosque in New Cairo.
According to Presidency Spokesman Mohamed El-Shennawy, the president extended his sincere condolences and sympathy to the prime minister and the family of the deceased.
He prayed to Almighty God to bestow mercy upon the deceased and to grant the bereaved family patience, strength, and solace during this difficult time.
Major General Kamal Madbouli served in the Egyptian Armed Forces, where he built a distinguished military career over many years of service.
Throughout his military tenure, he held a range of command and staff positions, contributing to the operational and organisational development of the institutions in which he served.
