Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asserted the readiness to provide all means of support for Egypt’s hosting of major international sports events.
This came during the reception of Sisi to President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach on Saturday in the presence of Minister of Sports Ashraf Sobhy, President of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa Mustapha Berraf, President of International Handball Federation Hassan Moustafa and President of Egyptian Olympic Committee Hisham Abu Hatab.
Sisi welcomed the visit of Bach to Egypt, lauding its role in boosting interest in sports at the international level.
President Sisi pointed out to Egypt’s efforts to develop and upgrade the sports infrastructure all over Egypt in addition to establishing Egypt’s city for Olympic games in the New Administrative Capital.
Meanwhile, Bach lauded the historical Olympic role of Egypt as an African and Arab country pioneering the different collective and individual sports.
