The Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi arrived on Thursday at Houari Boumediene International Airport to take part in the 31st Arab Summit, due to kick off later in the day and run till Wednesday.
Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said Sisi’s participation comes as part of Egypt’s keenness on bolstering co-operation ties with all Arab countries as it continues to play a pivotal role in enhancing efforts aimed at pushing forward joint Arab action for the best interests of the Arab countries.
Algeria Summit aims at holding consultations among Arab states with the aim of maintaining regional security and stability and achieving the Arab interests, especially amid outstanding challenges at the regional and international levels, the impact of the coronavirus pandemic and the Ukraine crisis.
Sisi is due to hold a number of bilateral meetings with Arab leaders on means of beefing up ties and exchanging visions on the latest regional and international developments.
