BERLIN – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi arrived at the presidential palace in Berlin for talks with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
Upon arrival at the palace, Sisi was welcomed by Steinmeier and they had a photo-opportunity.
President Sisi and Steinmeier are scheduled to chair the 13th Petersberg Climate Dialogue (PCD13) in Berlin which is vital for paving the ground for the United Nations Climate Change Conference 2022 (COP27), due to be held in Egypt’s Sharm El Sheikh in November.
Egypt was invited to this important event in view of its pivotal role under the leadership on President Sisi vis-a-vis climate change negotiations over the past few years.
