Egypt’s Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Assem el-Gazzar held a meeting yesterday with New Valley Governor Mohamed el-Zamlot to follow up progress to date in projects underway in the governorate.
El-Gazzar said his ministry provides all forms of support to the implementation of various development and service projects on schedule and according to the highest global standards.
This came within the framework of the ministry’s strategy to develop the border governorates, provide various services, and increase the factors that attract people to them.
El-Gazzar added that his ministry has developed the first digital government services complex in Matrouh Governorate in line with directives from President Abdel Fatah El Sisi.
The complex includes government buildings, a public services building, courts, in addition to commercial premises, green spaces, roads and utilities.
The Governor of New Valley said that the first model of an environmentally friendly house was built under supervision at governorate level to achieve the goals of sustainable development.
