CAIRO – The Senate, headed by Senate Speaker Abdel-Wahab Abdel-Razek will resume plenary sessions Sunday to review a request to set a date for discussion submitted by Representative Hisham al-Haj Ali and 20 MPs to clarify the government’s policy regarding the strategy for developing the transport sector in Egypt.
It will also debate ways to enhance the rate of private sector participation in localization of smart transport industries and the process of upgrading, managing and operating transport projects, in light of the activation of the “State Ownership Policy” document.
During the same session, the upper house of parliament will review reports of relevant committees on a number of proposals and requests submitted by representatives regarding public services and issues.
On Monday, the Senate will consider remaining topics figuring high on the agenda of the previous session.
