Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), Waleid Gamal El-Dien, met on Wednesday Professor Mohamed Lotfy, President of the British University in Egypt, at the authority’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital to explore joint cooperation in research, innovation and linking education outputs with industrial needs inside the zone.
Gamal El-Dien highlighted the expansion of industrial and logistics projects in SCZONE, stressing the importance of partnerships with academic and research institutions to support innovation, prepare skilled cadres and align scientific research with investor requirements. He noted that integrating research and technology transfer into industrial development enhances localisation, increases added value and strengthens SCZONE’s competitiveness.
The meeting underlined the shared vision of building effective collaborations between universities and industry to advance Egypt’s industrial base and support national development goals.
