CAIRO – Head of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) Walid Gamal Eldin announced on Wednesday that the authority’s board of directors had approved a number of new projects that will be established within a partnership with the AD Ports Group.
In a press release, he added that this came during a meeting that was attended by Planning and Economic Development Minister Hala el Saeed, International Cooperation Minister Rania Mashat, Transportation Minister Kamel el Wazir, Presidential Adviser for Urban Planning Maj. Gen. Amir Sayed Ahmed, the CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Hossam Heiba, CEO of the Sovereign Fund of Egypt Ayman Soliman and other officials concerned.
The authority also okayed developing and enhancing the performance of the piers of Adabya Port.
It also approved the establishment of a project to manufacture and produce vaccines with local and foreign investment that reach USD 150 million, he added, noting that the project will provide 500 direct job opportunities.
