Egypt’s Minister of Social Solidarity Nevin el-Kabbag launched on Friday a charity marathon named “Run for Gaza”, under the motto “In Solidarity with Our People in Gaza,” from the Wadi Degla Reserve in Maadi, in co-operation with the Egyptian Tribal and Families Council.
A number of top officials including Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, and Ambassador Moushira Khattab, President of the National Council for Human Rights.
The marathon is part of Egypt’s relentless support to the Palestinian cause and the Gaza Strip, bringing together participants of all ages and from all walks of life. Roughly 10,000 people took part in the marathon.
