CAIRO – Qatari Minister of State for International Co-operation Lolwah al Khater lauded Egypt’s crucial role in supporting the Palestinian people.
Since the outbreak of the escalating violence in the Gaza Strip, Egypt has emerged as one of the main supporters to the Palestinians, she added during her meeting with Egypt’s Health and Population Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar in Qatar.
The meeting was held to discuss ways of increasing health aid offered by Egypt and Qatar to the war-torn Gaza Strip.
In a statement Sunday, Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said that the minister checked on the Palestinians who were injured and receive treatments in a number of Qatari hospitals.
The two ministers also discussed ways of increasing cooperation and coordination between Egypt and Qatar in order to deliver medical aid to the Palestinians, added the spokesman.
