Egypt’s Minister of Social Solidarity Nevine El- Qabbag said the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) played a vital role in supporting the Gaza Strip in cooperation with local and international relief agencies.
The minister gave the remarks during the ERC conference held under the title of “International Humanitarian Call for Gaza” on Thursday in the presence of Minister of Health Khaled Abdel Ghaffar and a number of representatives of national agencies.
Qabbag welcomed the participants who come to reaffirm the importance of joint action to address the consequences of the war on Gaza, the war which witnessed flagrant violation of all international laws, the Geneva Conventions and all humanitarian protocols.
The minister also praised the historic role by the Palestinian Red Crescent.
The minister pointed out to the genocide committed by Israel on Gaza that resulted in 1,944 mascaras, 30,210 deaths, the majority of them are women and children.
She said the Israeli forces demolished 134 governmental offices in addition to 95 schools and universities and 240 mosques.
Qabbag thanked friendly States and international institutions providing support to the Palestinian people in Gaza, hoping that such support would be strengthened and expanded.
