The Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) and the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency (HEPA) on Wednesday signed a co-operation protocol to develop port information systems.
The protocol came within the framework of strengthening co-operation with the Hungarian side and attracting Hungarian investments to the
SCZone.
Ibrahim Abdel Khalek, Vice chairman of SCZone for Investment and Promotion Affairs, and Gabor Jenei, Deputy CEO of the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency (HEPA) signed the protocol for expertise exchange, co-operation to promote investments and development of information systems in SCZone-affiliated ports.
The protocol also covers training and human resources of the SCZone and technical support in the development of zone’s port information
systems.
The SCZone announced this signing in early February during the promotional tour by the SCZone chairman in Hungary.
This came during the closing ceremony of the Egyptian-Hungarian Joint Business Forum chaired by Minister of International Co-operation Rania
al-Mashat and Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Siarto, as part of the Hungarian Prime Minister’s current visit to Cairo.
