Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) Walid Gamal Eddin left Cairo on Sunday leading a delegation for the Indian capital New Delhi to promote investment opportunities in el-Sokhna area and look into co-operation with major companies to carry out Indian projects in ports and industrial zones.
The move comes in accordance with presidential directives to encourage more foreign investments, the SCZone said in a statement.
SCZone added that the measure is also part of its efforts to strengthen targeted industries in its action strategy 2020-2025, the statement added.
The visit is the third promotional leg for the Economic Zone in the Asian continent to attract companies working in several sectors including energy, infrastructure, petrochemicals and green fuel, added the statement.
