President Abdel Fattah El Sisi issued decree no. 400 of 2024 approving a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the mechanism of macro-financial assistance and budget support signed between Egypt the European Union.
Under the MoU, the EU will provide €1 billion of urgent short-term macro-financial assistance to Egypt to help stabilize its economy.
The presidential decree was published in the official gazette.
