President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asserted the importance of expediting the implementation of national development and service projects to enhance the quality and efficiency of services provided to citizens and support Egypt’s sustainable development goals.

The assertion was made during President Sisi’s meeting on Saturday with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher, Head of Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces Major General Walid Aref, and Assistant Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces for Engineering Projects Major General Ahmed Fouda.

Discussions during the meeting touched on the status of projects currently being executed by the Armed Forces Engineering Authority in co-operation with various ministries, state agencies, and public bodies across a number of service and development sectors.

The discussions also focused on monitoring implementation timelines and ensuring the timely completion of those projects, according to Presidency Spokesman Ambassador Mohamed el-Shennawy.

President Sisi also reviewed the executive status of various co-operation protocols signed between the Armed Forces Engineering Authority and a number of ministries, government agencies, and public institutions for the execution of development and service projects in several vital sectors, the presidency spokesman said.

President Sisi emphasised the necessity of completing these projects as quickly as possible in order to improve the level of services delivered to citizens across multiple sectors. He also stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to finalise the developmental factors of those projects, noting that they would contribute to achieving key national development objectives and advancing sustainable development in Egypt.
