President Abdel Fattah El‑Sisi met with Arab Organisation for Industrialisation (AOI) Chairman Mohamed Abdel Fattah Abou Bakr to review the organisation’s development strategy, with a focus on expanding manufacturing and technological capabilities in its factories and advancing projects in both civilian and military sectors.
According to the Presidency spokesman, the meeting reviewed the AOI’s progress in localising advanced manufacturing technologies in new industrial fields, efforts to meet the needs of various sectors according to international quality standards, and expand export opportunities as part of Egypt Vision 2030. Discussions also highlighted the organisation’s contribution to development projects in several African countries.
Abou Bakr outlined the AOI’s role in implementing strategic projects, including support for mass transit systems, freight transport and light transport solutions, as well as its efforts to expand partnerships with private sector companies, leading international firms and industrial investors.
President Sisi directed the organisation to maintain efforts to deepen local manufacturing, localise technology, attract domestic and foreign investment, support national industry, increase exports and expand the production base. He also stressed the importance of strengthening private sector participation and improving the business environment.
The President further called for transforming the AOI into an integrated industrial platform that combines advanced manufacturing capabilities with private sector expertise and international partnerships, in a way that enhances Egypt’s industrial competitiveness and supports broader economic development goals.
