JEDDAH – President Abdel Fattah El Sisi had a meeting on Friday with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati in Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah city.
In statements, Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmi said that President Sisi, during the meeting, expressed his appreciation of the deeply-rooted relations binding Egypt and Lebanon at the official and popular levels.
President Sisi also wished Mikati all success in managing the Lebanese government’s work during this crucial period in Lebanon’s history in a way that meets the Lebanese people’s aspirations to achieve further progress, security and stability in the country.
For his part, Mikati lauded distinguished ties between the two countries, expressing his country’s appreciation of Egypt as the cornerstone for maintaining regional security and stability in Lebanon and the whole region.
He also lauded Egypt’s experiment in achieving development.
The two sides also exchanged views on a host of Arab issues. They also discussed boosting bilateral cooperation.
