ABU DHABI- UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan met Monday President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, who is currently on a visit here.
During the meeting, the two leaders affirmed the close ties binding Egypt and the UAE across all levels, said Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy.
They also affirmed that such ties are reflected in the close coordination between the two countries, with the aim of attaining stability in the Arab region, especially in the phase which sees an increase in regional and international challenges, added the spokesman.
The meeting tackled ways of boosting bilateral ties at the various levels, especially in enhancing economic cooperation, joint investments and trade exchange, said the spokesman.
President Sisi congratulated the UAE for achieving major advances in space exploration and attaining the longest space mission by an Arab astronaut.
President Sisi wished the UAE continued progress and prosperity.
The meeting further tackled the latest regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The two leaders agreed to continue joint efforts to settle the current crises gripping the region.
The spokesman also said that the meeting discussed the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), which will be hosted by the UAE by the end of this year.
