On the occasion of Egyptian Diplomacy Day, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi extended his heartfelt congratulations to the women and men of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. With unwavering determination and steadfast dedication, they continue to safeguard the nation’s interests, uphold its stature, and reinforce Egypt’s presence on both regional and international stages.

“This year’s celebration coincides with the bicentennial of the establishment of Egypt’s first modern Foreign Ministry, a historic milestone reflecting a national legacy of enduring diplomatic efforts that have, over the past two centuries, strengthened Egypt’s standing in the world,” President Sisi wrote on his official Facebook page on Sunday.

The Egyptian diplomacy consistently demonstrates its commitment to serving the nation with efficiency and excellence, ensuring that Egypt remains a beacon of peace, a pillar of stability, and a respected voice on the global stage, The president added.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs commemorates Egyptian Diplomacy Day annually on March 15.

The occasion provides an opportunity to honour the steadfast national service performed by this historic institution throughout pivotal phases of Egypt’s history, spanning nearly two centuries.

According to a statement on the ministry’s official Facebook page, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry has long played a central role in defending national interests.

Over the decades, Egyptian diplomats have been at the forefront of negotiating international frameworks and agreements. Their efforts were instrumental in drafting the United Nations Charter and establishing the League of Arab States and the Organisation of African Unity, reflecting a long-standing tradition of devoted service to Egypt and enhancing its international stature.
