Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi honoured on Tuesday the winners of the 29th edition of the international Qur’an competition.
This came during a ceremony held by the Awqaf Ministry at Al Manara International Conference Center in New Cairo to commemorate Lailatulqadr (The Night of Power).
President Sisi awarded the winners in the first category of the contest, which includes memorization of the entire Quran plus tajweed recitation and understanding the meaning.
The winner, named Maher Mohamed Abdel Nabi, from Egypt won a prize of 250,000 EGP.
Also, three members of the same family won a prize of 100,000 EGP each.
