President Abdel Fattah El‑Sisi and the First Lady Entissar El‑Sisi welcomed Chinese President Xi Jinping and his spouse at Ittihadiya Palace in Cairo on Wednesday.
The official reception included a 21gun salute and the playing of the national anthems of Egypt and China. President Sisi greeted members of the Chinese delegation, while the Chinese president exchanged greetings with senior Egyptian officials.
