Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen inaugurated a Joint Egypt-EU Investment Conference at Al Manara International Conference Center in New Cairo Saturday.
The two-day conference is themed “Unlocking Egypt’s Advantages in a Fast-Changing World.”
The conference is attended by a number of high-level government officials from Egypt and EU countries and representatives of multilateral development partners and the private sector.
The event is also attended by several heads and officials of the most prominent Egyptian, EU and global companies and representatives of Egyptian and EU business organizations.
The conference is aiming to boost economic cooperation between Egypt and EU and lure further EU investments into Egypt, with special focus on the sectors of energy, health, education, infrastructure, industry, food security, green hydrogen, cars, logistics and ports.
