CAIRO – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi issued directives to the bodies concerned, especially the ministries of agriculture and trade as well as research centers, to conduct meticulous study on the mechanism of fertilizers production with an aim to ensure securing needed fertilizers for local market.

The president added that this also serves the state strategic plans to increase agricultural lands in Egypt under a giant national project for reclaiming desert lands. This is meant to secure food needs in Egypt.

The president made the remarks during a meeting Saturday with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, Presidential Assistant for national and strategic projects Sherif Ismail, Agriculture Minister Sayyed Quseir, Trade Minister Nivine Gamea and Mustakbal Misr project manager Bahaa Eddin Ghanam.
