President receives Bahrain’s parliament speaker

Sisi reiterates Egypt’s commitment towards maintaining Gulf security

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi affirmed Egypt’s firm commitment towards maintaining Gulf Security during his meeting on Thursday with the visiting Speaker of the Bahraini Council of Representatives Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal.

 

The meeting was attended by Speaker of the Egyptian House of Representatives Hanafy el-Gebali and Bahrain’s Ambassador to Egypt Hisham bin Mohammed Al-Jowder.

 

The meeting discussed means of boosting bilateral relations in all fields, especially parliamentary ties, besides consulting over regional developments, Presidency Speaker Ambassador Bassam Radi said.

 

President Sisi welcomed the Bahraini parliament speaker, and sent his greetings to King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, lauding the strength of the Egyptian-Bahraini relations, which are distinguished by certain specialty and consensus of views on all issues, Radi said.

 

President Sisi asked the Bahraini Speaker of the parliament to convey his greetings to King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, praising the strong Egyptian-Bahraini relations, Radi said,

 

President also underlined Egypt’s keenness to develop close and distinguished co-operation between the sisterly countries at all levels, and stressed Cairo’s unwavering stand and firm commitment towards maintaing security of the Gulf.

 

For her part, Ms. Zainal conveyed to President Sisi the greetings of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and emphasised that Bahrain’s government and people are proud of the well-established historical bonds and close ties binding the two countries at all levels. She also stressed Bahrain’s keenness to strengthen bilateral relations at all levels, Spokesman Radi said.

 

The Bahraini Parliament Speaker also commended the development achievements that have been made across Egypt, which reflect President Sisi’s wise leadership and insightful vision.

 

In addition, she highly appreciated Egypt’s pivotal role in the region as a pillar for security and stability of the Arab World.

 

Egypt’s power is integral to that of the Arab countries, she said, praising the country’s keenness on consolidating Arab solidarity and pushing joint Arab action forward.
