Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has reaffirmed Egypt’s full support for the security and stability of Kuwait, underscoring that such support is part of Egyptian policy to maintain Gulf security.

The president’s reaffirmation of this position came as he received Kuwaiti Ambassador in Cairo Mohamed Saleh Al-Thuwaikh on the occasion of the end of his tenure in Cairo, Presidency Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi said.

During the meeting, the president expressed appreciation for the tireless efforts of the Kuwaiti envoy in supporting and strengthening the Egyptian-Kuwaiti relations.

President Sisi also emphasised appreciation for the wise role of Kuwaiti Emir Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in leading Kuwait and its people towards progress and prosperity and for his considerate care of the Egyptian community in Kuwait.

For his part, the Kuwaiti envoy expressed profound consideration of meeting the president, stressing that he feels proud of his tenure in Cairo and of the advanced stage of co-operation that the bilateral relations between Egypt and Kuwait have reached.

He also expressed thanks to the Egyptian people for the welcome and generous hospitality he received, adding that Egypt has a wise leadership, represented by President Sisi, considered a model to follow in building a vision on development and revival.
