“Egypt lost one of its most valuable men, my teacher, professor and leader,”
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi mourned the death of the Chair of the Defense and National Security Committee at the House of Deputies Manor General Kamal Amer who passed away Thursday.
“Egypt lost one of its most valuable men, my teacher, professor and leader,” President Sisi tweeted.
“The deceased was the best teacher and leader, loyal and faithful to this country until the last moment in his life,” the President said.
President Sisi also issued a decision Thursday to promote the late Amer to the rank of an honorary lieutenant-general, with the award of the Nile shield. One of the squares in Egypt will be named after the late Amer.
