NEW DELHI- Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met Wednesday with Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar at the Indian Presidential House in New Delhi.
During the meeting, President Sisi affirmed Egypt’s keenness on promoting the long-standing strategic ties with India, which represent a main milestone to safeguard security and stability in the Middle East, said Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi.
President Sisi also expressed aspiration to enhance coordination and consultation with the Indian side within the upcoming period as regards the various political, security and economic files of mutual interest, added the spokesman.
For his part, the Indian foreign minister welcomed President Sisi’s visit to New Delhi, affirming that his visit will contribute to enhancing ties between the two countries, particularly in light of India’s keenness on propelling joint cooperation with Egypt in the economic, investment, security and military fields.
