Mohamed el-Manaily

The Board of Directors of the General Union of Administrative and Social Services Workers, headed by Hisham Farouk al-Muhairi, Vice President of the Labor Union and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Union of Arab Municipalities and Tourism, appreciated Egypt’s firm stance in supporting the Palestinian cause under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and defending the rights of the Palestinian people to self-determination in establishing their independent state with Eastern Jerusalem as its capital.

The union’s board of directors announced in a statement full solidarity with the Palestinian people who are living in difficult circumstances as a result of the oppression and blatant violations committed by the brutal Zionist occupation, which constitute war crimes that violate the law and all international charters and agreements.

The union’s statement called on the international community to immediately stop all Israeli violations against the Gaza Strip and achieve a just and lasting peace in the Middle East region.

The statement also appreciated Egypt’s efforts to bring humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip. It stands in solidarity with the Egyptian stance on the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state.

The union affirmed its belief that dialogue to reaching a peaceful solution is the sole way to achieve stability and peace, and that violence will not lead to positive results, calling on all parties to move forward towards negotiations.
