SIXTH OF OCTOBER – Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli on Monday witnessed the inauguration of new expansions of Flex P Films Egypt for plastics industry, which is the first of its kind in the Middle East region, at a total cost of dlrs 100 million.
This came during a tour made by the premier in a number of factories and companies established in the investment zone of the Industrial Development Group at Giza’s 6th of October City.
The premier was accompanied by Minister of Trade and Industry Neveen Gamea, Giza Governor Ahmed Rashid and CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Mohamed Abdel Wahab.
The premier was briefed during his tour in Flex P Films Egypt on the company’s activities in the plastics and packaging field since its establishment in the investment zone in 2009. The company occupies an area of 106,000 square meters and is operating in the plastics, polyester, cast Polypropylene and Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP). Its annual production hits 125,000 tonnes and exports its products to more than 60 countries with revenues estimated at dlrs 190 million annually.
The company is planning to lay the foundation stone for a new chemicals industry with investments valued at dlrs 30 million.
