The Egyptian government is gradually relocating to new offices in the New Administrative Capital (NAC), said Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli.
Already, some of the ministries have moved to their new headquarters in the Government Neighborhood of NAC, Madbouli said during a Cabinet meeting earlier Wednesday, urging the rest of the ministries to follow suit.
The premier reviewed directives by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for the government to intensify efforts to guarantee that the relocation to NAC would lead to a real and complete development of the administrative body.
This is done in an effort to turn to a smart government and to offer distinguished and digital services to citizens, Madbouli said.
He also touched upon Sisi’s assignment for the government to periodically follow up work progress of projects that are being implemented as part of the “Decent Life” initiative with the aim to improve services offered to residents of the Egyptian countryside.
