CAIRO – Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli asserted relations between Cairo and Rome are seeing a strong momentum on all fronts, thanks to the big support offered by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Italian Premier Giorgia Meloni.

Madbouli’s remarks came at a meeting with Italian Minister of Health Orazio Schillaci and his accompanying delegation in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) on Thursday.

The premier commended efforts exerted by Italian Ambassador in Cairo Michele Quaroni to deepen bilateral cooperation in various fields.

Madbouli pointed out the healthcare sector is a top priority to the Egyptian government and said he is looking forward that the visit of the Italian delegation be an important opportunity for fostering joint cooperation in the medical and pharmaceutical spheres.

Madbouli invited the Italian delegation to take part part in a joint Egyptian-European investment conference, slated for late this month under the auspices of president Sisi and European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen.

The Italian official underscored the depth and strength of ties between Egypt and Italy, that are based on mutual confidence.

There is a great chance for boosting cooperation between Egypt and Italy in the healthcare field, said Schillaci.
