Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli stressed Egypt’s support for all efforts to achieve development and stability in Iraq.
Madbouli’s remarks came during his meeting on Thursday with Iraqi Ambassador in Cairo Ahmed Nayef al Delimi.
The premier called for intensifying the efforts to implement the agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) signed between the two countries, as well as accelerating co-operation on the participation of Egyptian companies in the reconstruction process in Iraq.
On his part, the Iraqi ambassador briefed the prime minister on the current preparations for holding the meetings of the Egyptian-Iraqi Joint Higher Committee.
Delimi said the Iraqi government will work in the coming period on establishing new mechanisms for increasing the involvement of Egyptian companies in the reconstruction process in Iraq.
