PM: State keen to localise pharmaceutical industry in Egypt

Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli has voiced the State’s keenness to localise the pharmaceutical industry in Egypt.

During the weekly Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, the premier shed light on Egypt’s production of Covid-19 vaccines, which he said helped overcome the crisis.

Egypt seeks to coordinate efforts with African nations in the pharmaceutical field, he said, citing an announcement by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to offer 30 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines to African peoples.

The premier further praised the 1st Africa Health ExCon, which was attended by President Sisi on Sunday.
