Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli held a meeting on Monday with Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El-Khatib to review efforts of the Sovereign Fund of Egypt’s (TSFE) to maximize the return on state-owned assets.
The investment minister highlighted the TSFE’s role in encouraging joint investment in state-owned assets, particularly as the State currently works to create an environment conducive to attract local and foreign investments, along with giving a more room for the private sector to contribute to the economic activity.
Khatib also briefed Madbouli on the measures taken by TSFE to launch more initial public offerings (IPOs) of public companies.
The minister also posted the premier on the TSFE’s ambitious plan for utilizing buildings in downtown Cairo and the Ministries Square.
