Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli met on Tuesday evening at the Government Headquarters in the New Administrative Capital with Hussein Issa, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, to follow up on the restructuring plan for Egypt’s economic authorities.
The meeting focused on the status of the plan, which covers 59 economic bodies, in line with the state’s strategy to enhance efficiency and maximize resource utilization.
Various proposals were reviewed, including the cancellation of certain bodies, the merger of others, and the conversion of some into public service authorities, while maintaining others as economic entities.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Prime Minister instructed the swift preparation of a comprehensive timetable for the restructuring plan, detailing the phases of mergers and conversions. The aim is to accelerate decision-making and ensure implementation within a clear and defined framework.
