Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli and Justice Minister Mahmoud Helmy El Sherif reviewed on Tuesday the latest developments in the government’s plan to modernise real estate registration and notarisation services.

Madbouli lauded recent the ongoing efforts to expand access to notarisation and real estate registration services across the nation, making them more accessible to citizens as part of the government’s broader drive to improve public service delivery.

These measures reflect the state’s commitment to building an integrated government services system that meets citizens’ needs through more efficient and advanced service delivery, he said.

For his part, Minister El Sherif outlined the ministry’s latest initiatives to modernise the real estate registration and notarisation system in line with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives to develop state institutions, improve public services and facilitate citizens’ access to through greater co-ordination among government bodies.

As part of the plan, the ministry has introduced a new service within Egypt’s banking sector by signing co-operation protocols with the National Bank of Egypt and Banque Misr to establish 11 premium notarisation offices inside branches of the two banks in the first phase.

The initiative is intended to capitalise on the banks’ extensive nationwide networks and advanced technological infrastructure, enabling customers to complete banking transactions and related notarisation procedures in one location, he noted.

The ministry has recently deployed additional mobile notarisation units across Greater Cairo, helping reduce overcrowding while offering modern, flexible alternatives that save citizens time and effort, El Sherif said.

It has also assigned five mobile notarisation vehicles to Egypt’s North Coast to meet the seasonal surge in demand during summer and facilitate citizens’ daily transactions.

The mobile units operate under a one-stop-shop system and are equipped with advanced technology and secure operating systems, enabling them to provide the full range of real estate registration and notarisation services quickly and efficiently.

The minister added that two new notarisation offices were inaugurated this month in Sohag and Minya governorates. The new offices -one at Sohag University, the 21st office in the governorate, and another in New Minya, the 22nd in Minya – have joined the ministry’s network of modern one-stop-service branches
