Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli said a very large number of international figures, state officials and organizations are expected to take part in the COP27 which will be held in Egypt’s Red Sea resort city of Sharm el0Sheikh next year.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi gave directives to finalize all development works in the city as soon as possible to be in its best status in preparation for the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27).
He made the remarks during a meeting Saturday for discussing preparations for COP27.
The meeting was attended by Ministers Khaled el Anani of Tourism and Antiquities, Mahmoud Shaarawi of Local Development and Assem el-Gazzar of Housing alongside South Sinai Governor Khaled Fouda and a number of tourism officials.
During the meeting, he stressed that public transportation in the city should be eco-friendly.
He also highlighted the importance of expediting the conversion of public transportation vehicles to operate with natural gas instead of diesel oil.
Meanwhile, Fouda reviewed the challenges besetting tourism development in the governorate and the measures taken by the municipal authorities in this respect in coordination with the bodies concerned.
At the end of the meeting, the premier ordered to prepare a list of the projects which Sharm el-Sheikh needs and the required funds to swiftly start their implementation.
