Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly met on Tuesday with Transport Minister Lieutenant General Engineer Kamel El-Wazir, Local Development and Environment Minister Manal Awad, Housing Minister Randa El-Menshawy and Armed Forces Engineering Authority Assistant Head Ahmed Zaki as part of preparations for a government conference scheduled for October at the direction of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to review achievements across key sectors in recent years.
During the meeting, Madbouly said infrastructure, urban development and local development would be among the main issues discussed, given their importance to citizens and the wide public debate surrounding roads, transport, housing, drinking water and sanitation, as well as the presidential “Decent Life” initiative to develop rural villages and other local development projects.
The prime minister stressed the need to identify and address all questions and public concerns ahead of the conference and provide clear responses to criticism of the various sectors. The conference will also present future plans and announce projects with specific timelines aimed at improving citizens’ living conditions.
