Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli asserted the current events and developments unfolding in the region have begun to impose themselves on the political landscape—whether in Egypt, neighboring countries, or elsewhere around the world—due to their wide-ranging repercussions on various aspects of life, particularly economic and social conditions.

The prime minister’s remarks came while chairing the government’s weekly meeting at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) Wednesday, held to discuss a number of topics and files.

Madbouli mentioned he had met yesterday with several editors-in-chief of Egyptian newspapers and online news platforms, in the presence of the heads of media councils and regulatory bodies.

During the meeting, they discussed the overall political and economic situation in Egypt, as well as issues at both the local and global levels.

He emphasized that the government’s objective is to maintain continuous engagement with institutions and bodies responsible for raising public awareness, especially in light of the ongoing geopolitical events and transformations in the region.

The prime minister added that during the meeting, the government summarized Egypt’s firm position on regional political developments.

This was conveyed through strong, clear messages delivered in the speech of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi at the Arab-Islamic Summit held two days ago in Doha, Qatar.

Among the key messages was President Sisi’s assertion that the aggression against the brotherly State of Qatar constitutes a grave violation of international law and the UN Charter, representing a threat to Arab and Islamic national security.

Regarding domestic affairs, Madbouli stressed that the government remains committed to its path of economic reform and is holding numerous meetings to drive national economic growth—particularly with the launch of the “National Narrative for Economic Development” for public dialogue.

He emphasized the government’s keen interest in addressing all other files across various sectors of the state and in conducting field visits to monitor the progress of ongoing projects in multiple areas.
