Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly on Saturday reviewed Egypt’s economic agenda for the Egypt Forum 2026 and the National Economic Transformation Programme, which aim to build on previous reforms and promote sustainable, resilient growth.
During a meeting with Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk and Planning and Economic Development Minister Ahmed Rostom, Madbouly discussed the proposed sessions and working papers for the forum, which is being organised under President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives.
The prime minister stressed the need for the sessions to present a comprehensive and transparent vision of the government’s future economic policies to citizens, the business community and the private sector, which he described as key partners in production and development.
Discussions focused on improving co-ordination between fiscal and monetary policies, expanding private-sector participation, enhancing the investment climate, and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises and entrepreneurship.
The meeting also reviewed plans to maximise returns from public assets and infrastructure, alongside targets for 2030 to improve healthcare, education and housing services and strengthen social protection.
