Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli on Thursday embarked on a trip that will take him to Kiev and Saint Petersburg to lead Egypt’s delegation, on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, during Africa’s Russia-Ukraine peace mission.
Madbouli is accompanied by Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry.
This comes as part of an initiative led by African heads of state to facilitate peace talks aimed at resolving the Russia-Ukraine crisis.
The joint African initiative includes the heads state of South Africa, Senegal, the Comoros, Uganda, Zambia, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, alongside Egypt.
