As part of the government’s preparations for the conference called for by President Abdel Fattah El‑Sisi and scheduled to be held in October, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly chaired the first in a series of meetings aimed at reviewing progress achieved across various sectors over recent years.
The Prime Minister met with the Ministers of Education and Higher Education to discuss preparations related to the education sector. He stressed the importance of co‑ordination among ministries and state institutions to ensure the conference achieves its objectives, while opening dialogue with specialists, experts and opinion leaders and addressing public concerns and questions with a high degree of transparency.
During the meeting, the two ministers presented detailed reviews of the current situation in both pre‑university and higher education, as well as the state’s vision for developing the education system and improving educational outcomes.
Madbouly emphasised that the conference should clearly present the challenges, efforts and achievements in the education sector, answer key questions, and outline future plans while allowing room for discussion among specialists. He said the aim is to reach clear recommendations, specific decisions and implementation programmes that reassure citizens, for whom education remains one of the highest priorities.
The Prime Minister also outlined the issues of greatest concern to citizens regarding the future of their children, stressing the need to focus on topics such as access to education, the quality of the educational process, and the opportunities available to Egypt’s middle class within the education system.
