Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly is monitoring the aftermath of Wednesday’s bus overturn on the Dahab–Nuweiba road in South Sinai, which left several people dead and injured.
Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar confirmed that 20 ambulances were dispatched immediately to the scene, with the injured transferred to hospitals for full medical care. Minister of Social Solidarity Maya Morsy reported coordination with local authorities and the Red Crescent to provide urgent relief and support to families.
Governor Ismail Kamel said hospitals across the governorate raised readiness levels to handle cases. Madbouly ordered a technical committee comprisingthe ministries of Transport and Interior, South Sinai governorate and Administrative Control Authority to investigate the causes, assess vehicle safety, driver condition and road standards.
The Prime Minister extended condolences to victims’ families and wished the injured a swift recovery, stressing the government’s commitment to legal and humanitarian measures.
