Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly chaired the weekly Cabinet meeting at the government headquarters in the New Capital to discuss key national issues and government priorities.
At the outset, PM Madbouly commended the outcomes of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s recent Asian tour to the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, and Indonesia, highlighting its role in diversifying Egypt’s international partnerships, strengthening its presence in Asia, and expanding economic and trade co-operation.
He noted that Egypt’s strategic geographical position, linking Asia, Europe, and Africa, offers significant opportunities to deepen economic ties and attract investment.
Referring to the president’s remarks upon returning to Cairo, the prime minister highlighted efforts to increase trade volumes, address trade imbalances, and build on agreements signed across various sectors.
He also welcomed the elevation of partnerships with the three countries to a strategic level, reflecting Egypt’s promising investment opportunities.
PM Madbouly underscored the importance of encouraging investment by businesses from these countries, including joint ventures involving their investors and the government, as well as projects undertaken in partnership with Egyptian businesspeople and government participation.
He affirmed that relevant ministries and state institutions would work to implement the agreements and memoranda of understanding concluded during the tour, translating commitments into tangible results across the sectors discussed with the countries’ leaders and officials.
The prime minister also highlighted preparations for the Egypt Forum 2026, scheduled for October 19–24 in the New Capital at the president’s direction.
He noted that preparatory meetings were reviewing session themes that address citizens’ concerns and issues affecting daily life, the Cabinet spokesman said in a statement.
