Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli asserted the Ministerial Group for Industrial Development is getting a greater interest as President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is prioritizing the nation’s industry file.
Madbouli pointed out to the full support provided for the Group that comprises within it all arms in charge of industrial development, beginning from licensing up to the operation phase.
Priority is now given to the implementation phase on the ground, he said while chairing the Group’s first meeting on Monday, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel el Wazir.
The premier directed the Group to follow up on all recently agreed industrial projects to keep abreast of all developments regarding their implementation steps and the pace of work to make them operational.
Wazir explained the Group’s work mechanisms in the coming period, including outlining the National Strategy for Industrial Development and acting to stimulate and encourage direct private investment in the industrial sector.
The Group will hold its meetings on a weekly basis, according to him.
