Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli on Saturday inspected the implementation rate of the project of establishing Al Masry Club Stadium in Port Said governorate.

The stadium is of special importance to Port Said city, the premier said, noting that the state is keen on setting up an international stadium there.

Project Manager Engineer Mohamed Kassab briefed Madbouli on progress achieved so far in demolishing the old building of the Port Said Club according to the set timetable and without a delay.

Meanwhile, Project Executive Manager Engineer Mohamed el Ghazawy said the stadium is scheduled to finalized in August 2024, adding that it consists of four stands.

He added that the stadium area is planned to reach 50,000 square meters, while the buildings and facilities will be erected on area of 28,000 square meters.

Five companies in Port Said have been assigned to carry out the construction activities of the project, Ghazawy added.

The new stadium has been designed in line with the latest standards of FIFA as well as the CAF, including using the hybrid grass for the surface of the playground which is composed of natural grass combined with artificial fibers, Gahzawy said.

He added that the new stadium will include 30 gates controlled by the central electronic control room to ease the entry and exit of spectators, noting that over 300 cameras will be installed to cover the stands and the sports facilities.
