NEW ALAMEIN – Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli emphasised Egypt’s full support for the Libyan people and Egypt’s commitment to strengthening and enhancing bilateral co-operation between the two sisterly countries in all fields, highlighting the significant role the Egyptian companies play in the reconstruction of Libya.

This statement came during the premier’s meeting Sunday with his Libyan counterpart Osama Hamad, who was accompanied by Director General of Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund Belqasim Haftar, and Head of the Reconstruction and Stability Committee, at the government headquarters in New Alamein City.

For his part, Hamad appreciated Egypt’s continuous support for the Libyan people, especially under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to provide the necessary support and assistance to the Libyan people to alleviate the effects and consequences of Hurricane Daniel, which struck the country last year.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance mutual cooperation between the two brotherly countries in various fields and the contribution of Egyptian companies to the reconstruction efforts in Libya.
