CAIRO – Egyptian Planning Ministry said the team of the Egypt Government Excellence Award is working with African countries to transfer the experience of the award which aims at improving the quality of services offered to citizens and boost competitiveness among the states.
This came during two workshops organised by the ministry to spread awareness about the award.
Supervisor of the award Khaled Moustafa reviewed the categories of the award which was launched in 2018 as well as ongoing coordination with universities.
He also referred to a co-operation programme with the UAE to benefit from the latter’s experience in scientifically-based sustainability.
He said the award is meant to reach distinguished government institutions in various domains to improve the quality of Egyptian people’s life and promote competitiveness of the Egyptian state.
The award represents a change of culture in a non-traditional way, he said, noting that the award’s team is currently working with Kenya to draw on this experience.
