Planning Minister Ahmed Rostom and Education Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif held a meeting on Monday to review the investment plan for the education sector in the 2026/2027 fiscal year. The meeting aimed to strengthen cooperation between the two ministries and support the state’s efforts to improve education.
The ministers confirmed that education is a top priority. They reviewed projects included in the investment plan and stressed the importance of coordination between ministries to achieve sustainable development. They highlighted the role of education in building human capacity, which drives national growth.
Discussions covered providing tablets for technical education students, expanding public and Japanese schools, developing technical schools, and increasing applied technology schools. They also addressed maintenance support for schools.
Both sides agreed to continue joint coordination to ensure effective implementation of projects. The goal is to improve the quality of education services for citizens.
Minister Abdel Latif said the ministry follows a clear plan aligned with Egypt’s Vision 2030. The aim is to raise education quality and prepare generations ready for rapid changes in knowledge and technology.
Minister Rostom added that the state will continue to increase investments in education, focusing on building schools, reducing class density, and supporting digital transformation.
