Member of the Egyptian Tourism Federation (ETF) Hossam Hazaa said that the state drew up a renovation plan including 5 sites that can be visited as part of the Holy Family Trail which is an important event for the Christians all over the world.
This comes as part of paying attention to religious tourism.
In a phone-in on Egyptian TV, Hazaa said that renovating these areas, monasteries and churches is followed by establishing touristic sites and other services that contribute to providing job opportunities and shedding light on the tourism side in Egypt.
These areas are promoted after the Pope of Vatican allowed, in 2017, pilgrimage trip for Christians in Egypt, he said, adding that it attracts more tourists to visit Egypt.
